Driven by a shared commitment to advancing the field, they continued their education at the Pacific College of Health and Science, earning their Doctorates in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM).

With thriving private practices on the East Coast, they have each built respected wellness centers that merge ancient healing traditions with modern aesthetic innovations. Dr. Cara Kovats is the founder of Be Well in Manasquan, NJ, where she specializes in holistic healing, acupuncture, and facial rejuvenation techniques. Dr. Deanna Carell is the founder of Deanna Carell Aesthetics + Acupuncture, with locations in Nutley, NJ, and Naples, FL, offering state-of-the-art microneedling treatments and TCM-based skincare solutions.
